Vision
The Gordon Tech High School English Department will promote life-long, literate citizens who write using correctness, clarity and conciseness through a variety of flexible purposes. These skills will benefit our college-bound students for success throughout their adult lives. Great writers present the human experience in a manner that resonates throughout time. Gordon Tech English teachers expose their students to the works of great writers in their World, American and British Literature courses. They also help their students acquire vocabulary, library research skills, and the abilities to present their ideas in well-crafted sentences, paragraphs, and papers. Accomplished readers and writers are the people Gordon Tech English teachers want their students to become. Gordon Tech students must earn four credits in English.
